Class 1 sound level meter. Type 1 sound level meter

Optimus class 1 sound level meter [Optimus sound level meter]

A range of Class 1 sound level meter

The Class 1 sound level meter provides the highest level of performance available. Cirrus Research manufactures a variety of sound level measuring equipment that meets the Class 1 standard requirements. The standard fulfils the UK Control of Noise at Work Regulations, the OSHA Occupational Noise Standards and many more, making it ideal for both environmental and occupational noise measurements.

The Class 1 sound level meter has the highest level of accuracy.  At the frequency level of 1kHz, the tolerance limit for Class 1 is at +/- 1.9dB.

The Type 1 standard is approximately equivalent to the Class 1 standard. However, the Type 1 instruments will not meet all the new requirements for the Class 1 standard.

Cirrus Research has a variety of Class 1 sound level meters in its Optimus series. The Class 1 products have functions that range from basic sound level measurements to advanced frequency analysis and tonal detection.
