What is ethernet time synchronization?

NTP time servers can receive accurate time from a GPS (satellite) and MSF (radio) source. This makes them reliable, as they receive accurate time from more than one source.

 

To receive accurate time, place your radio antenna either inside or outside and your GPS antenna outside. Your GPS antenna can then pick up the time signal from 12 satellites, while your radio antenna receives time from the nearest radio tower.

An additional extension kit can be provided, which enables you to have a distance of 1000m between the antennas and server. This means you can place the antenna in the most convenient location.

The NTP time server connects to your internal network via ethernet so that it can send the most reliable and accurate time possible to your clocks and computers.
